Body located in water - Tweed Heads

The body of a man has been located in the water at Tweed Heads earlier today.

About 6.15am (Tuesday 22 October 2024), police were called to Jack Evans Boat Harbour at Tweed Heads following reports a body was seen in the water.

Police attached to Marine Area Command, assisted by Tweed/Byron Police District, attended the scene and recovered the body of a man.

The body has since been identified as that of a man aged in his 60s.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
