Appeal for information following multiple home invasions across Taree

Police are appealing for information following multiple armed home invasions across Taree in the last month.
About 8pm Tuesday 22 October 2024, police were called to a home on Coolabah Drive, Taree, following reports of a home invasion.
Officers attached to Manning/Great Lakes Police District arrived and were told three unknown males had broken into the home and threatened the residents with knives before fleeing the scene with a small amount of cash.
A short time later police were called to a home on Patricia Avenue, Taree, following reports a group of unknown males had also broken into that home and threaten the resident with a knife before fleeing the scene with no cash.
No injuries were reported at either incident.
A crime scene was established at both homes and detectives launched an investigation into both incidents.
About 2.20am today (Thursday 24 October 2024), police were called to a home on Burrawong Drive, Taree, following reports of another home invasion.
Police arrived and were told a group of unknown males had broken into the home stealing several personal items and a small amount of cash before fleeing the scene.
A crime scene was established, and detectives also launched an investigation into this incident.
Police are treating all three incidents as linked.
As investigations continue, detectives are hoping to speak with a group of five males seen at the time of the incidents.
The males are described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance and were last seen wearing dark clothing, gloves and face coverings.
