Raptor Squad officers have charged a Lone Wolf OMCG with alleged firearm offences in Sydney’s west yesterday.
About 7am (Wednesday 30 October 2024), Raptor Squad officers executed a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) compliance check in Bonnyrigg.
A FPO prohibits a person from acquiring, possessing or using a firearm, firearm parts or ammunition when they have acted against the public interest.
During a search of the home, police located six firearms, a rifle suppressor, nearly 2000 rounds of ammunition, a slingshot, and a car and two motorcycles believed stolen.
All items were seized to undergo further forensic examination.
About 7.40pm the same day, a 40-year-old man was arrested at Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with 16 firearm offences, five vehicle rebirthing offences, two prohibited weapon offences and one drug offence.
The man was refused bail to appear in Liverpool Local Court today (Thursday 31 October 2024).
