Two men charged over alleged stabbing - Granville

Two men have been charged with allegedly stabbing a security guard in Granville last night.
About 10.40pm yesterday (Wednesday 30 October 2024), emergency services were called to a licenced premises on Memorial Drive, Granville, following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command arrived and were told a 36-year-old security guard had assisted the drivers after a two-vehicle crash outside the licenced premises.
After returning to the premises, two men involved in the crash allegedly entered and stabbed the security guard multiple times before fleeing.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 36-year-old for multiple stab wounds to his arm before taking him to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A crime scene was established and an investigation int the incident has commenced.
Following investigations, detectives arrested two men - aged 28 and 24 - at a home on Sheffield Street, Auburn, today (Thursday 31 October 2024).
Police also seized their clothing for a forensic examination.
They were both taken to Granville Police Station where they were charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
They were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Friday 1 November 2024).
