Teen charged with multiple offences following alleged incident at Orange- Operation Regional Mongoose

A teenager has been charged with being carried in an allegedly stolen vehicle and breach of bail in the state’s west.
Operation Regional Mongoose is a high-visibility police operation to tackle serious property-related crime, committed predominately by young offenders.
About 3am Saturday (2 November 2024), police were called to a home on Dora Street, Orange, following reports a yellow Toyota Yaris had allegedly been stolen from the premises.
Officers attached to Central West Police District attended and established a crime scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
About 5am Monday (4 November 2024), the vehicle was located abandoned in Moad Street, Orange.
Following inquiries, about 8am yesterday (Tuesday 5 November 2024), a 16-year-old boy was arrested at a home in Pindari Place, Orange.
He was taken to Orange police Station and charged with being carried in a stolen conveyance and breach of bail.
He appeared before a Childrens Court where he was granted conditional bail to reappear in a Childrens Court on Friday 13 December 2024
