Investigation underway after woman's body found - Penrith

A man is under police guard and an investigation is underway after a body of a woman was found in Penrith a short time ago.
Emergency services were called to a hotel on Mulgoa Road about 1.10pm (Sunday 10 November 2024), after the discovery of the woman’s body, in the same room as a man suffering cuts to his arms.
The man – believed to be in his 50s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
The woman is yet to be formally identified.
Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command have established a crime scene, with inquiries to be conducted by PAC detectives, assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
