Update: Appeal for information following road rage incident at Kariong

Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed at Kariong last night following a road rage incident.
About 7:50pm yesterday (Thursday 14 November 2024), emergency services were called to a home at James Russell Drive, Kariong, following reports of an assault.
Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District attended and established a crime scene at the location.
Police were told a 42-year-old man was assaulted by two men following a road rage incident at Milyerra Road, Kariong.
During the altercation, one of the men produced a knife and stabbed the man in the abdomen before driving away.
The injured man managed to drive in his car to a nearby home on James Russell Drive, with the residents administering first aid until emergency services arrived.
The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to Gosford Hospital in a critical condition.
Police established multiple crime scenes, and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As inquiries continue, police are appealing for information to identify a vehicle seen in the area at the time of the incident.
It’s described as a bright blue sedan, possibly a Holden Commodore, with a red stripe at the rear of the vehicle.
