Woman charged after alleged stabbing - Guildford

A woman has been charged following an alleged stabbing in Sydney’s south west last night.

About 9:15pm yesterday (Monday 25 November 2024), emergency services were called to a unit on The Esplanade, Guildford, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command attended and found a man with a stab wound to the stomach.

The 27-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist officers.

A 36-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Granville Police Station where she was charged with wounding.

She was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Tuesday 26 November 2024).
