Man charged as part of indecent exposure investigation - Blacktown

A man will face court after being charged with a number of sexual-related offences alleged to have occurred in the Blacktown area over the past month.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command commenced an investigation following an incident about 11.00am on Saturday 2 November 2024, when a man was seen to allegedly commit a sexual act while parked in a blue Toyota Yaris sedan near a bus stop on Lancelot Street, Blacktown, where a 17-year-old girl was waiting for a bus.

About 12pm on Monday 25 November 2024, the same girl was waiting at the same bus stop on Lancelot Street Blacktown, when she saw the same man driving a white Toyota Camry. After driving past the girl, the man then stopped and reversed his vehicle and is alleged to have committed a sexual act while parked nearby.

On Friday 22 November 2024, police will allege in court, the same man followed two unknown women on Heffron Road, Lalor Park. He was seen to allegedly commit a sexual act in the car while following the women.

On the afternoon of Sunday 24 November 2024, police were told a man was allegedly seen to be committing a sexual act in bushes near the playground at the corner of Sackville Street and Peter Street, Blacktown. At the time, the playground contained numerous children and parents.

Following inquiries, about 11.45am today (Tuesday 26 November 2024), police attended a house on Peter Street, Blacktown and arrested a 28-year-old man.

The man was taken to Blacktown police station where he was charged with four counts of carry out sexual act with another without consent.

The man was refused bail and will appear at Blacktown Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 27 November 2024).
