Fatal crash - Long Jetty

A woman has died in a two-vehicle crash on the Central Coast.
About 2.50pm today (Sunday 1 December 2024) emergency services were called to Wyong Road, Long Jetty, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended and found two vehicles – a sedan and a utility – had collided.
The driver of the sedan– a woman aged in her 90s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however she died at the scene.
She is yet to be formally identified.
The driver of the utility – a 55-year-old man – was taken to Wyong Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established, and police commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
