Second teen charged with stabbing boy after car crash - Prospect

A second teenager will face court charged after he allegedly stabbed another teenager in the leg following a car crash in Sydney’s west.

About 7.40pm on Friday 29 November 2024, emergency services were called to Myrtle Street, Prospect, following reports of a car crash.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command were told a red vehicle had crashed into two parked cars and a power pole after it had been followed by a group of people in another two cars.

As one of the males from the red car tried to run away, he was allegedly chased and stabbed in the leg on Oaktree Grove, Prospect.

The injured 16-year-old was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, about 7.30pm on Monday 2 December 2024, police, with the assistance of specialist units, arrested a 16-year-old boy at a home in Blacktown.

He remains before the court.

About 1.15pm today (Wednesday 4 December 2024), police arrested a 17-year-old boy at Blacktown Police Station.

He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, armed with intent commit indictable offence, custody of knife in public place and two counts stalk / intimidate intend fear physical arm.

He was refused bail to appear before a children’s court tomorrow (Thursday 4 December 2024).
