Pedestrian dies after crash - Dubbo

A pedestrian has died following a crash in the states central west last week.
About 5.30pm on Thursday 5 December 2024, emergency services were called to the intersection of Whylandra Street and Victoria Street, Dubbo, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 42-year-old woman at the scene before she was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital in a critical condition. She was later transferred to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle – a 37-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District commenced an investigation into the incident.
Police have been informed that the woman died in hospital yesterday (Sunday 8 December 2024).
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
