Teen charged over alleged break and enters - Richmond PD

A teenage boy will face court today charged over several alleged property offences at Lennox Head, in the state's Northern Rivers.
Between 11.30pm on Thursday 28 November 2024 and 3.30am on Friday 29 November 2024, five homes at Lennox Head were allegedly broken into.
Several items were allegedly stolen during the incidents including cash, keys, documents, and an SUV.
Richmond Police District’s Proactive Crime Team were notified and commenced an investigation into the incidents.
Following extensive inquires by police, a search warrant was executed at a Lismore home on Thursday 5 December 2024.
During the search, police allegedly located and seized several items of interest.
Following further inquiries, police attended the same home about 7.40am today (Wednesday 11 December 2024), where they arrested a 16-year-old boy.
He was taken to Lismore Police Station where he was charged with ten offences; four counts of aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence - people there, aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, larceny, face blackened/disguised with intent to commit indictable offence, be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, commit s114 offence - having previous conviction, and breach of bail.
He was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Wednesday 11 December 2024).
