Appeal to locate missing teenager from Minto

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from Sydney’s south west.

Mariam Akbar, aged 13, was last seen in Minto at 12.30pm today (Wednesday 11 December 2024).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Campbelltown Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for her welfare due to her young age.

Mariam is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, slim build, 155cm tall with black shoulder length hair.

She was last seen wearing dark clothing and black shoes with white soles. Mariam maybe wearing black hijab.

Anyone with information about Mariam’s whereabouts is urged to contact Campbelltown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
