Fatal crash in Tomingley - Orana Mid-Western PD

A driver has died after a two-vehicle crash in state’s central west early this morning.
About 2am on Sunday (15 December 2024), emergency services were called to Newell Highway, Tomingley, approximately 54km south west of Dubbo, following reports of a two vehicle crash.
Officers attached to Orana-Mid Western Police District were told a truck and a white Toyota Ute had collided.
The driver of a Ute – a 26-year-old man - died at the scene.
The driver of truck - a 37-year-old man - was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to a hospital for a mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has commenced.
Both vehicles were seized to be forensically examined.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
