CORRECTION: Child critical after being pulled from pool - Moorebank

A child remains in a critical condition after being pulled from a backyard swimming pool in Sydney’s southwest yesterday.

Just after 6.30pm (Tuesday 17 December 2024) emergency services were called to a house in Moorebank, following reports a three-year-old boy had been found unresponsive in a backyard pool.

CPR was conducted on the child until the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics. The child was taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick where he remains in a critical condition.

Police attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
