Three charged over multiple alleged break-ins, carjacking across Sydney

Three people have been charged following alleged break and enters and a carjacking across several Sydney suburbs at the weekend.
About 3am on Friday (20 December 2024), two boys aged 17, and two men, aged 21 and 22, allegedly broke into a house on Annangrove Road, Annangrove, and stole bank cards and keys to a Ford utility, which was driven from the property.
About 3.40am yesterday (Sunday 22 December 2024), the teenaged boys and the older man, are alleged to have driven the ute to Seaforth Crescent, Seaforth, where they broke into a home, stealing items including a handbag, bank cards and an MG sedan.
About 5.40am the same day, police will allege in court all three were driving on Doonside Crescent, Doonside, in the stolen MG, when they stopped a man driving a Corolla sedan, threatening him with a firearm, forcing him from his vehicle before driving it away.
About 15 minutes later, the three were travelling on Panorama Parade, Blacktown, in the MG, when they allegedly stopped another vehicle, threatening the female driver with a firearm, before she was able to drive away, shaken but unharmed.
About 2pm the same day, officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command arrested four males at a shopping village on St Martins Crescent, Blacktown.
The utility and MG were located nearby, with the Corolla found on Ross Street, Blacktown. All three have been seized for forensic examination.
A crime scene was established at a home unit on St Martins Crescent, Blacktown, with multiple items also seized for forensic examination.
One of the teenage boys and the two men were taken to Blacktown Police Station.
The teenager and the 22-year-old man have been charged with eight offences,
- Steal motor vehicle (three counts)
- Robbery while armed with dangerous weapon (two counts)
- Aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence – in company – steal etc
- Dishonestly obtain property by deception, and
- Special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence – weapon.
The 21-year-old man was charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence – in company – steal etc, and be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.
The two men were refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Monday 23 December 2024), with the teenager to appear in a children’s court today.
The second 17-year-old boy was taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Inquiries are continuing.
