Appeal to locate man missing from Maclean

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Northern Rivers region.

Lionel Gardner, aged 53, was last seen at McLaughlin Park pontoon, near River and John streets, Maclean, from about 8pm on Saturday (21 December 2024).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Coffs Clarence Police District were notified and commenced an investigation into his whereabouts.

Family and police hold concerns for his welfare because he has medical conditions which require medication

Lionel is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 180cm tall, of large build, with long brown hair and a beard.

He was last seen wearing a yellow and blue “Parramatta Eels” t-shirt and grey or black tracksuit pants.

Lionel is known frequent the Maclean area.
