Man charged; 286 spray cans seized in graffiti arrest - PTC

A man will face court today charged with graffiti and drugs offences with hundreds of spray cans seized from a house in Liverpool.
Officers from the Police Transport Command last month commenced an investigation into large-scale graffiti damage on the Sydney metropolitan rail network.
Following lengthy inquiries, officers executed a search warrant about 7am yesterday (Monday 23 December 2024), at a home on Hoxton Park Road, Liverpool.
It will be alleged that when police entered the premises, a 30-year-old man attempted to assault officers before he was arrested and taken into custody.
Police will further allege that located in the premises was 286 spray cans, multiple mobile phones, and drugs including MDMA, magic mushroom confectionary, cannabis, and prescription drugs including Xanax and suboxone.
The man was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with 45 offences,
- Destroy or damage property (two counts)
- Destroy/damage property in company (five counts)
- Go onto or into or remain on or in running lines etc (eight counts)
- Possess graffiti implement with intent to contravene (nine counts)
- Enter or leave station etc not at designated entry/exit (seven counts)
- Face blackened/disguised with intent commit indictable offence (five counts)
- Commit s114 offence, having previous conviction (five counts)
- Assault police officer in execution of duty without actual bodily harm
- Hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty
- Possess prohibited plant, and
- Fail to comply digital evidence access order direction.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Tuesday 24 December 2024).
Inquiries are continuing into the drugs seized, with further charges possible.
