Three men charged with drug and stealing offences- Chifley Police District

Three men have been charged following an investigation into alleged trail bike thefts in the State’s west.
About 1am on Sunday (22 December 2024), a 33-year-old man was allegedly assaulted in Rocket Street, West Bathurst by three men on unregistered trail bikes.
On 23 December, 2024, the man attended Bathurst Police Station to report the incident.
Around 8:30am today, (24 December 2024), police attached to Chifley Police District executed a crime scene warrant at a home in Violet Street, South Bathurst. During the search, police seized two trail bikes, clothing, and a quantity of prohibited drugs.
Two men were arrested and taken to Bathurst Police station:
A 23-year-old man charged with
- Drive motor vehicle never licenced (second offence)
- Use unregistered/uninsured vehicle
- Rider not wear helmet
- Drive manner dangerous
- Possess prohibited drug
A 43-year-old man was charged with
- Enhanced cultivation of prohibited plant
- Possess prohibited drug
After further investigation, officers attended High Street, West Bathurst where they observed a 29-year-old man riding an unregistered trail bike.
He was arrested and taken to Bathurst Police Station where he was charged with:
- Drive motor vehicle during disqualification
- Use unregistered/uninsured vehicle
- Rider not wear helmet
- Drive manner dangerous
