Two men charged for alleged public place shooting - St Marys

Two men will face court today charged with an alleged public place shooting in St Marys last week.
In January 2025, officers attached to Penrith Region Enforcement Squad commenced Strike Force Croy to investigate the supply of drugs and organised crime in Sydney north west.
During the investigation, strike force officers became aware of a public place shooting on East Lane, St Marys, that occurred on Friday 3 January 2025.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
Following investigations, strike force officers – with assistance from officers attached to Tactical Operation Unit – arrested four men – aged 23, 25, 25 and 20 – during a vehicle stop on Alpha Street, Blacktown, at 2.30pm yesterday (Monday 7 January 2025).
All four men were taken to Blacktown Police Station, where one of the 25-year-old men and the 20-year-old man were released without charge.
Following the arrests, strike force officers executed search warrants at multiple homes in Jordan Springs.
During the searches police located and seized 244g of methylamphetamine, electronic devices and clothing believed to have been used in the offence.
The 23-year-old man was charged with discharge firearm intend cause grievous bodily harm, acquire firearm subject to prohibition order, supply prohibited drug greater than commercial quantity and recklessly deal with proceeds of crime more than $5,000.
The 25-year-old man was charged with discharge firearm intend to cause grievous bodily harm.
Both men were refused bail to appear before Blacktown Local Court today (Wednesday 8 January 2025).
