Two men charged after man stabbed - Maroubra

Two men have been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed in Sydney’s eastern beaches.
Shortly before 11pm on Saturday 21 December 2024, an 18-year-old man was with friends inside a licenced premises on Marine Parade, Maroubra, when they allegedly had an argument with a 47-year-old man.
Police will allege the older man spoke to a 22-year-old man, who attended the premises with another unknown man.
A short time later, the 22-year-old man and the unknown man allegedly approached the 18-year-old man.
The 22-year-old man allegedly stabbed the 18-year-old man in the back with a knife.
Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, who treated an 18-year-old man before he was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident commenced.
Following inquiries, police executed two search warrants at homes on Murrong Place, La Perouse, and Hasting Avenue, Chifley, yesterday (Wednesday 8 January 2025).
The two men, aged 22 and 47, were arrested at the La Perouse home, before they were taken to Maroubra Police Station.
Both men were charged with two counts of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The younger man was refused bail to appear at Waverley Local Court today (Thursday 9 January 2025).
The older man was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Wednesday 5 February 2025.
Investigations continue.
