Infant missing from Illawarra located

A seven-month-old child missing from the Illawarra area has been found safe.

The infant was seen in the Lake Illawarra area last December 2024.

When the child could not be located yesterday (Thursday 9 January 2025), officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Following extensive inquiries, the child, and a 43-year-old woman he was with, were located today (Friday 10 January 2024).

Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
