Man extradited from South Australia for alleged domestic violence offences

A man has been charged with outstanding warrants for alleged personal violence offences after being extradited from South Australia.

In November 2023, police commenced an investigation following reports a man allegedly assaulted a woman known to him in NSW before he travelled to South Australia.

Following extensive investigations, officers from Southern Domestic Violence High Risk Offenders Team, with assistance from South Australia Police officers, arrested a 52-year-old man at a home in Adelaide on Wednesday (15 January 2025).

He appeared before Adelaide Magistrates Court yesterday (Thursday 16 November 2025), where an application for extradition was granted.

The man, accompanied by NSW Police Officers, arrived at Sydney Airport yesterday before he was taken to Dareton Police Station.

The warrants were executed in relation to a breach of a community corrections order.

The man was charged with:

  • Three counts stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic),
  • Armed with intent commit indictable offence,
  • Intentionally choke etc person without consent (DV),
  • Assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV),
  • Contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic),
  • Destroy or damage property (DV), and
  • Breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear before Broken Hill Local Court today (Friday 16 November 2025).
