Appeal to locate elderly woman with dementia missing from Eastgardens

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly woman missing in the Eastgardens area.

Lourdes Martin, aged 76, was last seen at a shopping centre on Bunnerong Rd, Eastgardens, about 7.45pm today (Saturday 18 January 2025).

When she could not be located or contacted, she was reported missing to officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command who commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Concerns are held for Lou’s welfare as she lives with dementia.

She is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 150cm tall and medium build with grey hair.

She was last seen wearing a black vest on top of a white and blue shirt, black pants and sandals.

Police believe Lou may be attempting to travel to the Arncliffe area.
