Appeal to locate girl missing from Newtown

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Sydney’s inner west.

Jacinta Prakash, aged 16, was last seen at Enmore Park, in Enmore, about 10.30pm on Tuesday 14 January 2025.

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were notified today (Saturday 18 January 2025) and commenced inquiries to locate her.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare due to her age.

Jacinta is described as being of Indian/Subcontinental appearance, about 175cm tall, of slim build with long black hair and brown-coloured eyes.

Jacinta is known to frequent the Redfern, Coogee, Glebe, Leichhardt, and Marrickville areas.
