Three teens charged over alleged armed robbery in Liverpool

Three teenagers have been charged over an alleged armed robbery of a business in Sydney’s south west earlier this week.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports of two armed robberies at a business on Railway Serviceway, Liverpool, on Tuesday 21 January 2025.

About 7.20pm and 11.40pm, two people – allegedly armed with knives - entered the premises and took cash and a handbag, before leaving in a sedan.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, about 12pm yesterday (Thursday 23 January 2025), the vehicle was located in Liverpool.

Police located and seized knives from the vehicle.

Two teenagers – aged 16 and 17 – were arrested nearby and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

About 12am today (Friday 24 January 2025), a 17-year-old boy was arrested at Liverpool Police Station.

All three teenage boys were charged with two counts of robbery in company, with one of the 17-year-old boys being charged with an additional offence of possess prohibited drug.

All three were refused bail to appear before a children’s court today (Friday 24 January 2025).
