Appeal to locate man missing from Matraville

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney’s Eastern Beaches area.

James Gordan, aged 79, was last seen On Flinders Street, Matraville, about 12.20pm today (Monday 27 January 2025).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as James lives with dementia.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm – 175cm tall, of thin build, with grey hair.

James was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, green shorts and white shoes.

He is known to frequent Knowles Avenue and Wassell Street in Matraville area.
