Police are appealing for the driver of a light-coloured hatchback to come forward as they investigate a crash in Pennant Hills yesterday.
About 9.15pm (Sunday 27 January 2025), police were called to Laurence Street, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command arrived and were told that a hatchback had crashed into a tree.
Police were told a number of occupants, who were in the vehicle at the time, were seen running from the scene.
The vehicle then reversed, coming into contact with a pedestrian – a 56-year-old man – before it left the scene.
The 56-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to the driver of a light-coloured hatchback which was seen in the area at the time of the incident, as they may be able to assist with inquiries.
The hatchback may have damage to the front of the vehicle and may have made an unusual noise when travelling.
Any witnesses to the incident or anyone who heard or saw the hatchback is also urged to come forward.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
