Investigations underway into suspicious death on state's south coast

An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the death of man found in his home on the state’s south coast yesterday.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District were called to the home in Quickmatch Street, Nowra, about 11am (Thursday 30 January 2025), when the body of a 50-year-old man was located in the house by a neighbour.
A crime scene was established was examined by specialist police, and a canvass of the area was conducted.
Detectives from South Coast Police District are investigating the incident and Strike Force Ballidu has been established.
The investigation is being assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
