Fatal crash - White Cliffs

A boy has died in a single-vehicle crash in the state’s west.

About 7pm (Friday 31 January 2025), emergency services were called following reports of a crash on a property on Glendara Road, White Cliffs.

Officers attached to Barrier Police District were told a utility had overturned.

The driver, a 16-year-old boy, and a passenger, a 9-year-old boy, were taken to White Cliffs Hospital, however the younger boy was declared deceased on arrival.

The older boy was treated and will be subjected to mandatory testing.

Police have established a crime scene on the property and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
