UPDATED: Appeal for dash cam footage following three-vehicle crash in Sydney's south

One man has died, and several people have been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle crash in Sydney’s south this morning.
About 6.10am (Friday 14 February 2025), emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, Waterfall, following reports of a three-vehicle crash in the south-bound lanes, causing one of the vehicles – a Mitsubishi Outlander – to travel through a fence and towards railway tracks.
Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command, NSW Ambulance paramedics, Fire and Rescue NSW & RFS Crews attended.
The driver of the Mitsubishi was assisted by emergency services; however, he died at the scene.
While he is yet to be formally identified, he is believed to be aged in his 60’s. There were no other occupants in that vehicle.
Six people who were in the other two vehicles suffered various injuries and were all taken to hospital for treatment.
A crime scene has been established and investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
Road closures and traffic diversions were in place; however, all lanes have now reopened.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who was travelling in the area at the time of the incident who has dashcam footage to come forward and contact Sutherland Police Station on 95420899.
