Body found in search for missing man - Caffreys Flat

The body of a man has been found during the search for a man reported missing from Caffreys Flat.

The 51-year-old man was last seen at Caffreys Flat, approximately 40km northwest of Wingham, on Wednesday 5 February 2025.

When he could not be contacted officers attached to Manning/Great Lakes Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Following an extensive multi-agency search for the man, a body was located near the man's property yesterday (Thursday 13 February 2025).

While yet to be formally identified, the body is believed to be that of the missing man.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
