Eight arrested for property and domestic violence offences on the South Coast - Strike Force Beni 2025

Eight people have been arrested for a number of offences, including break and enter offences in the state’s south.
Operation BENI 2025 is a high visibility operation established to investigate stolen motor vehicle and break and offences across the South Coast Police District.
The two-day operation, from Wednesday 12 February 2025 to Thursday 13 February 2025, involved officers attached to the South Coast Police District, Southern Region Operational Support Group, Southern Region Domestic Violence High Risk Offenders Team, Police Transport Command and the New South Wales Police Dog Unit was conducted in the northern part of the South Coast Police District.
Operation Beni 2025 led to;
8 people arrested for various offences including aggravated break and enter, warrants and domestic violence offences

Notable incidents include;
About 9.15am on Monday 13 January 2025, police were notified of an alleged break and enter at a business on Collins Street, Kiama about 12.15am on Sunday 12 January 2025. A tool bags and soft drinks were stolen. Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended the scene and established a crime scene. Following inquiries, about 4pm on Wednesday 12 February 2025, a 30-year-old man was arrested in East Street, Nowra. He was taken to Nowra Police Station. He was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal less than or equal to $60000. He was refused bail to reappear in Kiama Local Court on Monday 3 January 2025.
About 3.10am o Friday 31 January 2025, police will allege a man armed with a bat attended a home in Samuel Street, Bomaderry, where he threatened a woman inside, before striking the front fly screen and window with the bat. He fled the scene. No one was injured. Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended the scene and established a crime scene Following inquiries, about 4pm on Thursday 13 February 2025, the 40-year-old man was arrested at a home in Alfred Street, Bomaderry. He was taken to Nowra Police Station and charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence, destroy or damage property <=$2000, two counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm and larceny value <=$2000. He was refused bail to reappear in Nowra Court on Wednesday 19 February 2025.
About 5.50pm on Thursday 13 February 2025, police attended a home in Torrens Place Worrigee and arrested a 34-year-old man. He was taken to Nowra Police Station and charged with an outstanding warrant for robbery in company cause wounding/grievous bodily harm, affray, robbery in company and use offensive weapon in company with intent indictable offence. He was refused bail to appear in Nowra Local Court on Tuesday 8 April 2025.
