Woman charged over alleged attempted murder - Coffs Harbour

A woman has been charged with attempted murder following an incident near Coffs Harbour last night.

About 7.30pm yesterday (Sunday 23 February 2025), emergency services were called to Strouds Road, Bonville, following reports of a stabbing.

At the scene, police were told that a man had allegedly been stabbed in the neck by a woman believed to be known to him.

The 42-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus in a serious but stable condition.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station where she was charged with cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder (DV), and reckless wounding (DV).

She was refused bail to appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court today (Monday 24 February 2025), where she was formally refused bail to appear before the same court on Tuesday 15 April 2025.
