Suspicious unit fire - Whalan

A unit complex has been destroyed by fire in western Sydney.
About 9.50pm yesterday (Tuesday 25 February 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a unit complex on fire along Halinda Street, Whalan.
Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the fire which caused extensive damage to nine units.
Residents were evacuated and there were no reports of any person being injured.
Officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the incident.
The fire is being treated as suspicious.
