Four teens charged following alleged stabbing - Hornsby

Four teens have been charged following an alleged stabbing in Sydney’s north.

About 3pm yesterday, Saturday 8 March 2025, emergency services responded to reports of an assault at a shopping centre on the Pacific Highway, Hornsby.

Police were told a 21-year-old man, and a 27-year-old woman were approached by two teenage girls and three teenage boys who allegedly began assaulting the man. The woman was also allegedly assaulted when she came to the man’s aid.

The man suffered a stab wound to the leg and had personal belongings allegedly stolen. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Ku-ring Gai Police area Command, Hornsby Police Transport Command and The Hills Police Area Command were able to locate four of the five alleged offenders a short time later at a shopping centre in Castle Hill.

The four teens were taken to Castle Hill Police station where they were charged as follows:

  • 16-year-old boy charged with aggravated robbery with wounding
  • 16-year-old boy charged with robbery in company and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company
  • 16-year-old boy charged with robbery in company
  • 15-year-old girl charged with accessory before and after to robbery in company

The three boys were refused bail to appear before a Children’s Court today, Sunday 9 March 2025. The girl was released on conditional bail to appear before a Children’s Court on Tuesday 18 March 2025.
