Six charged after teens stabbed - Dubbo

Police have charged four men, a woman and a teenage boy over an alleged brawl and stabbing in state’s west yesterday.

About 4.40am yesterday (Saturday 8 March 2025), police were called a fast-food restaurant on Cobra Street, Dubbo, following reports of a brawl.

On arrival, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District were told two boys – aged 16 and 17 – had been stabbed during a fight involving up to nine people. The group had dispersed by the time police arrived. Both were taken to Dubbo Base Hospital for treatment.

Following inquiries, police arrested a 19-year-old man on Brisbane Street, Dubbo, about 7.10am. He was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with affray. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Dubbo Local court on 13 May 2025.

Following further inquiries – and assisted by officers attached to Western Region Operations Support Group, PolAir and Traffic and Highway Patrol – police arrested a 23-year-old man about 12.45pm on Gowrie Avenue Dubbo. He was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with three counts of destroy or damage property (DV), and common assault. He was further charged with an outstanding warrant on stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm(domestic), destroy or damage property (DV), contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic) and fail to appear in accordance with bail acknowledgement. He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 9 March 2025).

About 3.15pm, a 19-year-old man was arrested on Brisbane Street, Dubbo. He was charged with affray. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday (25 March 2025).

About 4.30pm, a 23-year-old woman was arrested on Tink Avenue, Dubbo. She was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV), use etc offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offence, and breach of bail. She was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 9 March 2025).

About 4.40pm, a 17-year-old boy was arrested in Dubbo. He was charged with affray and breach of bail. He was refused bail to appear at children’s court today (Sunday 9 March 2025).

About 4.40pm, an 18-year-old man was arrested on Brisbane Street, Dubbo. He was charged with affray. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Thursday (15 April 2025).
