A man – who has been disqualified from driving until 2117 – will face court after being caught driving in the state’s west.
About 9.15am today (Sunday 9 March 2025), officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were patrolling William Street, Bathurst, when they stopped a silver Subaru sedan for a random breath test.
The driver – a 73-year-old man – was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a negative result; however, police checks revealed he was disqualified from driving until 2117.
He was taken to Bathurst Police Station where he was charged with drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.
He was refused bail to appear at Bathurst Local Court tomorrow (Monday 10 March 2025).
The man was also issued with a confiscation notice for drive motor vehicle during disqualification period (third offence in five years).
