Four people are in police custody and a youth remains in hospital following a crash and an alleged assault at Sylvania this morning.

Officers attached to Sutherland Shire Police Area Command were called to the Princes Highway about 1.25am (Saturday 15 March 2025), and found a ute parked in Venetia Street with a trail bike in the tray.

Both vehicles were damaged.

A short time later, police were advised a 17-year-old boy had presented to St George Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Four people from the ute, three men aged 18, and a 17-year-old boy, were taken to Sutherland Police Station where they remain.

No charges have been laid at this time; however, inquiries are continuing by detectives into reports the boy had been allegedly been assaulted after the crash.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with dashcam vision of a crash on the Princes Highway, shortly before 1.25am today, involving a 2015 grey Volkswagen Amarok ute, a white Toyota Hilux ute and a trail bike.
