Appeal for mobile phone vision after brawl - Narrabri

Police are appealing for mobile phone vision after a brawl between a group of youths in the state’s west last night.
About 8.30pm (Friday 14 March 2025), police were called to Maitland Street, Narrabri, following reports a group of young people were fighting outside a business.
Officers attached to Oxley Police District arrived and were told a group of young girls and their families were brawling before being separated.
During the incident a 36-year-old woman – unrelated to the young people – attempted to break up the brawl and was allegedly punched in the face and burned with a cigarette.
After police attended the scene, a group of spectators arrived and began to become aggressive and film the incident before police dispersed the crowd.
A 12-year-old girl was taken by a family member to Narrabri Hospital for treatment before being released shortly after.
Following the incident, a second 12-year-old girl fainted on Maitland Street and was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital for assessment.
Police have commenced an investigation into the incident and are asking members of the public who filmed the incident or any similar previous incidents on their mobile phones to contact Narrabri Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
