Fatal crash - Casula

A man has died in a crash in Sydney’s south west.
About 3.45pm today (Wednesday 19 March 2025), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, Casula, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and found a motorbike and a van had collided.
The motorbike rider - a man aged in his 20s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, but could not be revived and died at the scene.
The driver of the van was uninjured and was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash, with assistance from officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
The Hume Highway is closed eastbound at Casula. Diversions are in place. Motorists are advised to check www.livetraffic.com for updates.
