Fatal crash - Ilford

Emergency services remain on scene of a fatal two vehicle crash in the state mid west this morning.

About 6.30am (Thursday 27 March 2025), emergency services were called to Castlereagh Highway, 1km south of Razorback Road, Ilford, after reports of a two-vehicle crash.

Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District remain on scene, along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, who are treating four people - two women and two men.

A fifth person - a man yet to be formally identified - has died on scene.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

Traffic diversions are in place and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
