Update on search for missing man - Broken Head

The coordinated multi-agency search for a missing 45-year-old man at Broken Head on the Far North Coast has been suspended.
The search began on Tuesday 25 March 2025 by Tweed/Byron Police supported by Police Rescue, Marine Area Command, Queensland Police Service, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, Surf Life Saving NSW, NSW SES, and Marine Rescue NSW.
The search continued during daylight hours until 1pm this afternoon (Friday 28 March 2025), when it was suspended.
While the multi-agency coordinated search has been suspended, taskings by local police and Marine Area Command will continue in the area over coming days.
Police wish to thank those who volunteered in the search for the missing man and the local community for their support.
