Man dies after being hit on Hume Highway - North Albury

An investigation is underway after a man’s body was found on the Hume Highway north of Albury this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Hume Freeway, North Albury, about 4.50am today (Sunday 30 March 2025), following reports a man was lying on the roadway.

On arrival, officers attached to Murray River Police District were told a man had been hit by two cars.

The 21-year-old man died at the scene; he is yet to be formally identified.

Two drivers – a 53-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, were taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and investigations commenced into the circumstances of the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Investigations are ongoing.
