Passenger seriously injured in crash - Gundagai

A passenger in a vehicle has been seriously injured after a crash in the states south.
About 2.55pm yesterday (Saturday 5 April 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a car crashing into a tree at the intersection of The Hume Highway and Annie Pyers Drive, Gundagai.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 48-year-old female passenger at the scene before she was airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a serious condition.
A 15-year-old boy was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital as a precaution.
Two other passengers – a 48-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy were uninjured.
The 22-year-old female driver was also uninjured.
Officers from the Riverina Police District established a crime scene that was later examined by officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.
Police spoke with the driver at the scene as investigations continue.
