Woman in hospital after stabbing - Pyrmont

A woman is being treated in hospital and police are searching for a man following an alleged stabbing in Pyrmont this morning.

About 4.50am today (Sunday 13 April 2025), emergency services were called to a unit complex on Bowman Street, Pyrmont, following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command were told a man had allegedly forced entry into the unit and stabbed a 41-year-old woman to the head before leaving.

She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before she was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The man and woman are believed to be known to each other.

Another woman and two children were also in the home at the time; they were not injured.

Police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
