Strike Force Lyndoch launched to investigate suspicious death - Randwick

A strike force has been established to investigate the suspicious death of a woman who has died after being found critically injured at Randwick at the weekend.
Emergency services were called to a unit on Randwick Street, Randwick, about 7.40am Saturday (12 April 2025), following reports of a concern for welfare.
On arrival, officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command found a 38-year-old woman with a severe laceration to her arm.
She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Police spoke to a 44-year-old man – known to the woman – at the scene who was then taken to Maroubra Police Station to assist with inquiries.
He has since been released without charge and no arrests have been made at this time.
Police established a crime scene and established Strike Force Lyndoch to investigate how the woman came to be injured.
Investigators have now been told the woman died in hospital yesterday (Tuesday 15 April 2025).
