Man drowns near Eden

Inquiries are underway after a man drowned on the state’s south coast.

About 3pm today, Friday 18 April 2025, emergency services were called to City Rock Road, Green Cape following reports of a person in the water.

On arrival, officers attached to South Coast Police District were told a man was seen fishing before being washed off rocks.

A short time later, a body was located in the water.

The body is yet to be identified

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
