Truck driver dies following crash - Molong

A man has died following a single-vehicle truck crash in the State’s Central West last week.

About 1.00am on Wednesday 23 April 2025), emergency services were called to the Mitchell Highway, Larras Lee, north of Molong, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Central West Police District attended and located a truck, which left the roadway and crashed into a ditch.

The driver, a 58-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

A crime scene was established, and an investigation commenced into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

About 12.30pm today (Tuesday 29 April 2025), police received notification that the man passed away in hospital.

Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner regarding the man’s death.
